Sport at Lisarow High School plays a vital role in fostering the physical, mental, and social wellbeing of our students. Our dedicated Sport faculty provides a supportive environment where students are encouraged to develop teamwork, leadership skills, and resilience through active participation in a wide range of sporting activities and competitions. By promoting a healthy lifestyle and cultivating a passion for physical activity, the faculty helps students to build confidence, establish lasting friendships, and achieve personal goals. At Lisarow High School, we believe sport is integral to holistic education, empowering our students to thrive both on and off the field.

Sporting Academies:

We believe providing a representative sports program is integral to the health and development of our gifted and talented athletes. Sporting academies are available in the sports listed below. This includes specialised coaching, friendly games versing other schools, knockout competitions, state and national representation.

Tuesday Sport

Tuesday afternoons (2 periods) are dedicated to sport, students can chose which sport they would like to participate in either at school or external sport, options can include:

Year 7 Swimming Program

All Year 7 students are asked to participate in our swimming program, normally during Term 2.

As part of NSW PDHPE Curriculum students need to meet the following outcomes: - Examine and develop strategies for safe practices in outdoor environments, eg. farm safety, exposure to sun, water environments. Participate in a variety of movement activities to demonstrate and enhance body control, body awareness, object manipulation, anticipation and timing- Participate in a range of swimming activities and rescue skills, e.g. stroke correction, timed tow.
